In 2008 and 2009 we have had record-high foreclosure rates in the United States. We have seen Wall Street calling the shots, poor lender accountability, and deceptive practices that target Latino borrowers.  There is an urgent need to make drastic changes. Latino consumers have been hit very hard by credit card traps, deceptive auto and home loans, and other unfair lending practices that make living expenses hard to cover. There are more than 400,000 Latino families expected to lose their home in 2009 alone. Visit the National Council of la Raza for more information on Latinos and Homeownership
